Getting Started
Yes, consultations at LUXE Aesthetics in Bozeman are complimentary. This allows us to understand your goals, assess your skin or hair concerns, and recommend a personalized treatment plan. Our approach is thoughtful and pressure-free, so you can feel confident making the decisions that are right for you. If a prescription is provided during your consultation, a $50 medical fee will apply.
Yes, when performed by experienced, qualified providers, aesthetic treatments are considered very safe. At LUXE Aesthetics, all treatments are FDA-approved, medically supervised, and performed by trained professionals using advanced techniques and high-quality products. Your safety, comfort, and results are always our top priorities.

That’s completely normal, many clients feel a little nervous before their first aesthetic treatment. Our role is to guide you through the process with care, clarity, and zero pressure. We take the time to answer your questions, explain each step, and ensure you feel comfortable and confident in your decisions. You’re always in control of your experience, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Think of us as your trusted partner, here to support you every step of the way.
Choosing the right treatment doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. During your consultation at LUXE Aesthetics in Bozeman, we take the time to understand your skin, your goals, and what you’re hoping to improve. From there, we’ll recommend treatments that align with your needs and support healthy, natural-looking results.
Our goal is to create a plan that feels comfortable, realistic, and completely personalized—so you can feel confident in both the process and your results.
A little preparation helps ensure a smooth, comfortable appointment and the best possible results from your aesthetic treatment.
In the days leading up to your visit, we recommend avoiding blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol when possible, as these can increase the likelihood of bruising. Arriving with clean skin and minimal makeup is ideal, and if your treatment requires a topical anesthetic, please bring it with you to your appointment. If you’re receiving injectables, having a light meal beforehand can help you feel more comfortable during treatment. You may also be advised to pause active skincare products—such as retinoids or exfoliating acids—for a few days prior. Our team will guide you on any specific adjustments based on your treatment plan.
Staying hydrated and arriving relaxed can make a noticeable difference in your overall experience. Most importantly, come with your goals in mind. Whether you’re looking to soften lines, restore subtle volume, or simply refresh your appearance, we’ll walk you through every step so you feel informed, comfortable, and confident.
If you have any questions before your visit, we’re always here to help you prepare.
Absolutely, great skin and confidence aren’t gender-specific.
We work with many male clients seeking natural, refined results through treatments such as Botox®, laser hair restoration, and advanced skin treatments. Our approach is always tailored and discreet.
Every treatment plan is personalized to ensure results feel subtle, natural, and aligned with your lifestyle.
Treatment Experience
Your first visit at LUXE Aesthetics in Bozeman is designed to feel comfortable, informative, and completely personalized. We’ll begin with a consultation to understand your goals, assess your skin or hair concerns, and walk through the treatment options that best align with what you’re looking to achieve. If you choose to move forward with treatment the same day, we’ll guide you through each step so you know exactly what to expect. Most treatments are quick, well-tolerated, and require little to no downtime.
Before you leave, we’ll review the aftercare instructions and outline what results you can expect over time. Our goal is simple: natural, beautiful results in a comfortable, supportive environment. No pressure, no rushing–just thoughtful guidance and care designed around you.
Not as much as you might think. We take a thoughtful, comfort-first approach using numbing agents and refined techniques so most treatments feel like a quick pinch or mild pressure. Many clients tell us the anticipation was the hardest part—and the actual treatment was easier than expected. Your comfort is always a priority, and we’ll guide you through each step so you feel at ease from start to finish.
Downtime depends on the treatment, but most aesthetic treatments involve little to no interruption to your routine. Many services, such as neurotoxins or lighter skin treatments, allow you to return to your day right away. Others, including certain laser treatments, chemical peels, or dermal fillers, may involve temporary redness, swelling, or mild sensitivity that typically resolves within a few hours to a few days.
We’ll always walk you through what to expect in advance, including any aftercare or short-term guidelines, such as avoiding intense workouts, heat, or alcohol, so you feel fully prepared. Our goal is to deliver natural, beautiful results that fit seamlessly into your lifestyle, so you can look refreshed without putting your life on pause.
Yes, combining treatments is often the most effective way to achieve refined, natural-looking results. By pairing neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and skin treatments, we can address different aspects of aging and skin health in a cohesive, personalized plan.
Every treatment is scheduled with care to ensure safety, proper healing, and the best possible outcome.
Prep is minimal. You can continue your regular skincare up until your appointment. If you have a history of cold sores, let us know in advance so we can guide you on prevention. We’ll provide any numbing instructions beforehand to ensure your treatment is comfortable and seamless.
Results & Expectations
It depends on the treatment, along with your metabolism and lifestyle. Neurotoxins typically last about 3–4 months, while dermal fillers can last 9–18 months, depending on the product and area treated. Laser and skin treatments tend to build over time, with results improving through consistency.
Think of maintenance as part of the experience—we’ll help you create a plan that keeps your results looking fresh, natural, and effortless.
Timing varies depending on the treatment, but most results appear quickly and continue to improve over time. Neurotoxins such as Botox® or Xeomin® typically begin to soften lines within 3–7 days, with full results developing around two weeks. Dermal fillers provide immediate enhancement, with final results settling naturally over the following days.
Laser and advanced skin treatments often deliver subtle improvements after a single session, with more noticeable, cumulative results achieved through a series of treatments. We’ll always guide you on what to expect based on your personalized treatment plan, so you feel confident in both your timing and your results.
There’s no one “perfect” age to begin—only the right time for you. Many clients choose to start when they notice expression lines lingering after their face is at rest, while others begin earlier as a preventative approach. Whether you’re in your 20s, 30s, or beyond, the decision is highly personal and based on your goals.
During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin and discuss whether neurotoxins are an appropriate option for you, creating a plan that feels natural, subtle, and aligned with your overall aesthetic.
Our goal is always for your results to look natural, subtle, and uniquely you. The best aesthetic treatments enhance your features without making it obvious that anything was done. Most clients hear things like, “You look refreshed,” or “You look amazing, did you do something different?” rather than having their treatment identified.
We take a thoughtful, personalized approach to every treatment plan, focusing on balance, proportion, and results that evolve gracefully over time. In other words, you’ll look like yourself, just more rested, radiant, and confident.
Consistency is key. The most effective approach to achieving radiant, healthy-looking skin is a combination of medical-grade skincare and professionally guided treatments performed regularly. Treatments such as Clear + Brilliant®, FY BBL, and microneedling can help improve tone, texture, and overall skin quality over time.
Rather than relying on a single treatment, we focus on creating a personalized plan that supports your skin long-term—because lasting results come from consistency, not quick fixes. We’ll guide you toward the right combination of treatments and at-home care to help your skin look naturally luminous and refreshed.
Still not sure what’s right for you?
A personalized consultation is the best place to start. We’ll walk you through your options and create a plan that feels natural and completely tailored to you.

Both Botox® and Xeomin are FDA-approved neuromodulators used in aesthetic treatments to relax targeted facial muscles, softening expression lines and helping prevent them from deepening over time.
The primary difference lies in their formulation. Botox contains the active botulinum toxin along with accessory proteins, while Xeomin® is a highly purified “naked” neurotoxin—meaning it contains only the active ingredient without additional proteins.
At LUXE Aesthetics often recommends Xeomin® for its refined, streamlined formula and the natural-looking results it delivers. Many clients appreciate its clean composition and the potential for a lower risk of resistance over time. That said, both Botox® and Xeomin® are excellent options. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the best choice based on your goals, muscle movement, and treatment history—ensuring results that feel subtle, balanced, and true to you.
Earl is our Director of Vibes and unofficial greeter. He keeps the energy just right and may occasionally stop by to say hello during your visit. Treatment Guides & Resources

Helpful preparation guides and aftercare instructions to ensure the best possible experience and results from your treatments.
Preparation is simple, no major changes needed. You can continue using your regular skincare products right up until your appointment. If anything should be adjusted based on your skin, we’ll guide you.
If you have a history of cold sores or fever blisters, please let us know ahead of time. As a precaution, we may recommend an antiviral medication such as Valtrex to help prevent a flare-up, as laser treatments can occasionally trigger one.
For comfort, a topical numbing cream is used prior to treatment. This can be picked up at our office in advance and applied about 45–60 minutes before your appointment—we’ll provide clear, simple instructions so everything feels easy and seamless.
To ensure the safest treatment and best possible results, please follow these guidelines prior to your appointment:
Avoid Sun Exposure
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunburn for at least 4 weeks prior to your treatment. Treating tanned or sunburned skin increases the risk of blistering and unwanted pigmentation changes.
No Self-Tanners
Do not use self-tanning lotions, sprays, or drops for at least 4 weeks before treatment.
Cold Sore / Herpes History
Please inform us if you have a history of cold sores, fever blisters, or herpes simplex. Laser treatments can trigger a flare. If applicable, we recommend: Valtrex 500 mg, taken twice daily for 5 days, starting the day before your treatment
Topical Numbing (If Provided)
If you’ve been given a topical numbing cream: Apply it to the treatment area 45–60 minutes before your appointment
Instructions Exception: Lip Treatments If you are receiving lip enhancement or lip line definition, topical numbing is not needed, as local anesthesia will be administered in-office.
Microneedling Treatment Preparation: Your microneedling results depend in part on how you prepare your skin beforehand. Following these guidelines can help minimize irritation and support the best possible outcome.
Seven Days Before Your Treatment, please pause the following:
- Exfoliating acids (mandelic, glycolic, lactic, salicylic)
- Exfoliating pads, scrubs, or enzymes
- Benzoyl peroxide
- Any new skincare products
You May Continue:
- Vitamin A (retinoids) if your skin is well-adjusted and not irritated
- Vitamin C if it is a gentle, non-irritating formula
- If using a low-pH L-ascorbic acid, pause 2–3 days before treatment
- Avoid sun exposure that could lead to sunburn or tanning prior to your appointment
Three to Five Days Before Treatment
If medically appropriate, please avoid:
- Ibuprofen, aspirin, NSAIDS
- High-dose fish oil, omegas, or EFAs (normal daily doses are typically fine)
- High-dose vitamin E
- Turmeric, Ginkgo, Garlic supplements
These may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding.
Always check with your prescribing physician before stopping any medications or supplements.
To ensure safe, effective results, a little prep goes a long way.
Avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin increases the risk of irritation, blistering, or discoloration.
Skip self-tanners for 4 weeks before your appointment.
Avoid waxing, plucking, or hair removal creams for at least 4 weeks prior. These remove the hair follicle, which the laser needs to target. Shaving is perfectly fine.
Shave the treatment area the day before or the day of your appointment.
Let us know if you have a history of cold sores or fever blisters. In some cases, we may recommend an antiviral medication prior to treatment to help prevent a flare-up.
We’ll guide you through everything to make sure your skin is calm, prepared, and ready for optimal results.”
The Candela Gentle Max Pro® 755nm Alexandrite is an effective tool for removing Seborrheic Keratoses (SKs) and Solar Lentigines (age spots/sun spots) by targeting melanin the skin. This may require from 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired results. The treatment works best on lighter skin types (I-III) and usually involves the lesions darkening and flaking off within 1-2 weeks.
Pre-Treatment Instructions (4-6 Weeks Prior)
● Sun Avoidance: Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Tanned skin can lead to burning, blistering, infection or improper pigment changes(hypopigmentation/hyperpigmentation/scarring). This includes self tanner application. Avoid all self-tanner applications at least one week prior to laser treatment.
● Sunscreen: Apply SPF 30+ daily to the treatment area.
● Skincare Routine Adjustment: Discontinue using Retin-A, Retinol, AHA or BHA acids, or harsh exfoliants 5-7 days before the procedure.
● Medical History: Inform the provider of any history of cold sores (HSV) for preventative medication, and avoid Accutane for 6-12 months prior.
● Lesions may recur and require yearly maintenance treatment to maintain desired results.
To ensure optimal comfort during your treatment, please follow these application guidelines carefully:
Apply Generously
Apply the numbing cream thick, like frosting, to the treatment area, extending approximately ¼ inch beyond the area being treated. Please use all of the topical anesthetic cream provided.
What to Expect
The cream will appear white when first applied and will gradually fade to clear as it absorbs into the skin.
When in Doubt, Apply
If you are unsure whether to numb a specific area, go ahead and apply the cream. It’s better to have full coverage than to miss an area during treatment.
Timing Matters
Apply the cream at least 45–60 minutes prior to your appointment to allow full effect. We are unable to delay treatment time to allow additional numbing once your appointment begins.
After your treatment, it’s normal to experience some mild redness and slight swelling, similar to a light sunburn. This typically settles within a couple of days, while the warm or sunburn-like sensation usually fades within a few hours.
Around day 2–3, your skin will begin to feel slightly textured—often described as a subtle “sandpaper” sensation. While you may not see it, this is part of the natural renewal process as your skin gently sheds and refreshes. This phase typically lasts up to about a week.
Aftercare Guidelines
To support healing and enhance your results:
- Be gentle with your skin
Avoid rubbing, scrubbing, or exfoliating for at least one week. Skip harsh cleansers or exfoliating products during this time. - Hydration is key
Keep your skin well moisturized throughout the day. A gentle, bland moisturizer will support healing and comfort. The Epionce Enriched Firming Mask can also be used to help calm, hydrate, and reduce the appearance of redness—many clients like to apply a layer overnight. - Protect your skin from the sun
Avoid direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen daily. Reapply as needed if you’re spending time outdoors, and consider wearing a hat or protective clothing for treated areas. - Return to your routine gradually
Once the textured feeling has fully resolved, you can resume your normal skincare routine.
To support proper healing and optimal results, please follow these guidelines after your treatment.
What to Expect After Treatment. Immediate Response: A warm, sunburn-like sensation, redness, and mild swelling are normal following treatment. These effects typically resolve within 2–4 hours.
Apply cool compresses (a soft, damp cloth) for 10–20 minutes at a time as needed
You may take Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, or Tylenol as directed for discomfort
TNS Recovery Complex may help reduce redness and support healing
Pigmentation Changes
Pigmented spots will appear darker and more pronounced immediately after treatment.
Within 2–3 days, these areas may darken further and develop a slightly rough, “coffee ground” texture
Over 7–14 days, they will naturally shed, revealing clearer, healthier skin
Important: Do not pick, scrub, or exfoliate these areas—allow them to slough off naturally.
Post-Treatment Care Keep Skin Hydrated
Use a gentle, bland moisturizer twice daily for the first week to support healing. Recommended: TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream. Alternatives: CeraVe or similar gentle moisturizers
Avoid Active Skincare
Avoid products containing retin-A, retinol, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid for 7 days post-treatment.
Makeup Use
Makeup may be applied if there is no blistering. We recommend Oxygenetix, a medical-grade makeup designed for post-procedure skin. Apply and remove gently, as the skin may be more sensitive than usual.
If Blistering Occurs
If you experience blistering or broken skin:
- Apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment
- Keep the area moisturized with Vaseline or Aquaphor
- Notify our office for further guidance
Swelling
Mild swelling, especially around the eyes, may occur and typically resolves within 3–5 days.
Sun Protection is Essential
Avoid prolonged sun exposure for 4 weeks before and after treatment.
- Apply a broad-spectrum physical sunscreen (SPF 30+) daily containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide
- Reapply as needed and wear protective measures such as hats when outdoors
We offer a curated selection of sunscreens from SkinMedica and EltaMD and are happy to help you choose the best option for your skin.
Consistent sun protection is critical to prevent complications such as blistering or unwanted pigmentation changes and to maintain your results.
Cold Sore Precaution
If you develop a cold sore following treatment, please contact us promptly.
Patients with a history of cold sores may require antiviral medication such as Valtrex or Famvir.
Questions or Concerns
We’re here to support you throughout your healing process. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or text us at 406.581.3974.
To support proper healing and optimal results, please follow these guidelines after your treatment:
What to Expect After Treatment
Immediate Response
Redness, mild swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation are normal following treatment. This typically lasts 1–2 hours, with some redness lingering for a couple of days.
Days 1–3
Your skin may feel tight, dry, and sensitive to the touch.
- Cleanse gently using a mild cleanser and your hands only.
- Pat dry, avoid rubbing or using washcloths
Small red spots or minor bruising can occur and may last 5–7 days.
For 48 hours following treatment please avoid:
- Strenuous exercise
- Hot tubs, saunas, or steam rooms
- Anything that causes sweating
Makeup
Avoid applying your regular makeup during this time. Your skin has microscopic channels that are healing, so it’s important to keep the area clean and avoid introducing bacteria.
Days 2–7
Around day 3, your skin may begin to feel slightly rough, similar to a “sandpaper” texture. This is a normal part of the renewal process as your skin regenerates from within.
- Light peeling may occur
- Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate
- Allow the skin to shed naturally
This texture typically resolves by Day 7.
Post-Treatment Care
Be Gentle Allow your skin to heal without disruption.
- Do not rub, scrub, or exfoliate for at least 7 days
- Avoid harsh cleansers or exfoliating products
Hydration is Key
Keep your skin well hydrated to support healing.
- Apply a gentle, bland moisturizer multiple times daily
- The Epionce Enriched Firming Mask is a great option to reduce redness and inflammation and can be worn overnight if desired
Sun Protection
Avoid direct sun exposure and protect your skin daily.
- Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen and reapply as needed
- Wear hats or protective clothing if additional areas were treated
Returning to Your Routine
Once the “sandpaper” texture has fully resolved, you may gradually return to your normal skincare routine.
To support proper healing and optimal results, please follow these guidelines after your treatment:
Post-Treatment Instructions (1-2 Weeks After)
● Immediately Post Treatment: Skin may feel hot, look pink, and lesions will darken. This is normal. Complete healing and resolution may take up to 4 weeks.
● Keep Moist: Apply a thin layer of ointment (Aquaphor or Vaseline) to the treated area 2-3 times daily to keep it moist and avoid scabbing for three days post treatment.
● Do Not Pick: Do not scratch, rub, or pick at the crusting/darkening lesions as this may result in the crusting falling off early and incomplete healing of the lesions that may result in hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation or scarring. They will naturally slough off within 7-14 days.
● Sun Protection: Strictly avoid direct sun for at least 2-4 weeks after. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Preferred sunblock includes zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide.
● Cleaning: Use a gentle, mild cleanser and lukewarm water starting 24 hours after treatment. Take care to avoid rubbing or scrubbing of the lesions.
● Avoid Skin Irritants: Avoid alcohol-based toners, acids, vitamin C, retinols and retinoids for 3-5 days post treatment.
● Avoid Heat: Avoid hot showers, hot tubs, hot springs, saunas, and intense exercise for 3-5 days to achieve best results.
● Contact the office with questions or concerns post treatment.
Expected Outcomes
● Healing Time: Depending on the size/pigment of the initial lesion; crusting, darkening, scabbing appearance will usually last about 7-10 days on the face and up to 3 weeks on the body.
● Results: Dark spots should lift away, leaving clearer skin. There may possibly be a remnant of pigmentation remaining that may require a second or even third treatment. The lesions will never completely resolve and will require maintenance treatments over time to maintain desired results.
● Side Effects: Mild swelling or redness for 1-3 days is common. In some cases blistering, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), hypopigmentation and scarring may occur.
Beautiful skin doesn’t come from chasing trends—it comes from protecting, stimulating, and supporting your skin over time. Focus on these five pillars:
- Protection: Sunscreen Cell Renewal
- Retinoids Defense: Antioxidants
- Hormonal Support: Topical Estrogen Regeneration
- Growth Factors
When these five pillars are in place, your skin has what it needs to age slowly, repair efficiently, and maintain its natural glow.
Daily sunscreen is the most important step in protecting and preserving your skin. We recommend mineral sunscreens containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which sit gently on the surface of the skin to reflect UV rays before they can cause damage.
Why it matters:
- Helps prevent collagen breakdown
- Protects against pigmentation and sun spots
- Reduces the risk of skin cancer
- Preserves the results of your treatments
Sun exposure is responsible for the majority of visible skin aging, making sunscreen the true foundation of any thoughtful skincare routine. We often recommend medical-grade options like SkinMedica, known for elegant, lightweight mineral formulas that feel as good as they perform.
LUXE tip:
Apply every morning as the final step in your routine—and reapply throughout the day, especially if you’re spending time outdoors.
Retinoids are one of the most effective ways to support skin renewal and long-term skin health.
Derived from vitamin A, they work by increasing cell turnover and stimulating collagen—helping your skin appear smoother, clearer, and more refined over time.
Benefits include:
- Smoother skin texture
- Softening of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improved acne control
- Brighter, more even tone
- Support for healthy collagen production
Prescription options like tretinoin offer the most transformative results, while retinol and adapalene (Differin) provide gentler alternatives that still deliver meaningful, long-term improvement.
LUXE tip: Consistency matters more than strength. A retinoid used regularly—at the right pace for your skin—will outperform almost any other topical over time.
Your skin is constantly exposed to environmental stressors–UV radiation, pollution, and everyday inflammation—that can lead to premature aging and collagen breakdown.
Antioxidants help defend against this damage by neutralizing free radicals and supporting overall skin health.
Common antioxidants include:
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin E
- Ferulic acid
- Green tea extract
- Resveratrol
Benefits:
- Brightens dull, tired-looking skin
- Helps reduce hyperpigmentation
- Supports healthy collagen
- Enhances the protective effects of sunscreen
We often recommend lines like Epionce, known for combining antioxidants with barrier-supportive, botanically derived ingredients that calm and strengthen the skin.
LUXE tip:
Apply antioxidants in the morning, followed by sunscreen, to create an added layer of daily environmental defense.
Hormonal changes, especially during perimenopause and menopause, can have a noticeable impact on the skin.
As estrogen levels decline, skin may become thinner, drier, and less resilient, with a gradual loss of collagen and elasticity.
Topical estrogen, when prescribed and guided appropriately, has been shown to support skin health by improving thickness, hydration, and overall quality.
Benefits may include:
- Improved skin firmness
- Better hydration and barrier function
- Support for collagen production
- Enhanced elasticity
LUXE tip:
Hormonal changes in the skin are real, and often overlooked. When appropriate, addressing them thoughtfully can make a meaningful difference in overall skin quality.
Growth factors are naturally occurring proteins that act as messengers within the skin, signaling cells to repair, regenerate, and restore.
When applied topically, they support the skin’s natural renewal process, helping improve overall tone, texture, and resilience over time.
Benefits may include:
- Smoother, more refined skin texture
- Support for collagen and elastin production
- Enhanced healing and recovery
- Ideal support following treatments like microneedling or laser procedures
We often recommend advanced growth factor serums like NeoCutis Bio Serum Firm, known for supporting collagen production and improving visible firmness.
LUXE tip: Growth factors are especially effective when paired with treatments that activate the skin’s natural repair pathways—helping you get the most out of your results.
